Erie County Sheriff Timothy B. Howard reports the arrest of a City of Buffalo man for driving while intoxicated.  This is the Erie County Sheriff's Office 179th DWI arrest in 2013.

Deputy Russell Tyczka responded to complaint of a disabled motorist on Maple Rd. in the Town of Elma.  The vehicle, operated by a 17 yr. old City of Buffalo man, was found on a front lawn.  Upon further investigation, the driver was found to be intoxicated and the vehicle was found to have been in an accident after a missing part of the vehicle was located by Deputy Kristin Rozycki on Rt. 400 in the Town of Elma.  The driver was taken into custody and transported to the Erie County Sheriff's Elma substation.  A chemical breath test was administered to the driver which showed his blood alcohol content to be a .13%.  The driver was arrested for driving while intoxicated and other vehicle and traffic charges, and released to a third party on uniform traffic tickets returnable to the Town of Elma Court at a future date.

"I would like to extend a sincere thank you to all the citizens of Erie County for your support! Together, we will continue to make a our community a safer and better place to live."
