The Erie County Sheriff’s Office reports that a Chaffee man and an Akron woman were arrested for DWI by Sheriff's Deputies overnight.  These are the 204th and 205th DWI arrests by the Erie Co. Sheriff's Office in 2013.

In the first incident, Deputy Donald Hoelscher responded to a report of an injury accident on Allen Rd. in the Town of Sardinia in which a car struck a tree.  When Deputy Hoelscher arrived on scene he found the driver of the vehicle to be intoxicated.  28 year old Archie Pixley  was arrested for DWI and transported to Bertrand Chaffee Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.  Pixley also consented to a blood draw to determine his blood alchohol content.  Pixley was released on appearance tickets returnable to the Town of Sardinia Court at a future date.

In the second incident, Deputy Lee Richard stopped 25 year old Maegan Zobel when he observed her car drift over the fog line of the roadway on Main st. in the Town of Clarence.  Further investigation found Zobel to be intoxicated.  She was arrested for DWI and a breath test revealed her blood alcohol content to be .11%.  She was released on appearance tickets returnable to the Town of Clarence Court at a future date.

"I would like to extend a sincere thank you to all the citizens of Erie County for your support! Together, we will continue to make a our community a safer and better place to live."
